The Magic Of Christmas

Im not sure exactly why I currently feel so inspired to write but I do :) My guess?? The magic of Christmas!!! :) Well since im Christmasly inspired I figure I could write about my day! I didn't realize I had such a great day until I started recapping it to my mom. I have now come to the realization that I had a wonderfully great day!!
To start of my day I ofcourse woke up to Christmas music (my alarm is my ipod playing on my ihome). The song Happy Christmas (War Is Over), origianlly by John Lennon but I woke up to the verison by Jimmy Buffett. Its really odd waking up to that song when you keep pushing the snooze button. Every ten minuets when my alarm went off the tempo of the song will have changed.
Once I got to school it seemed like just a normal everyday day, then my wonderful wonderful wonderful boyfriend gave me this chain. That may not seem like much to you but to me it meant a lot :) So ofcourse that made me all happy and warm and fuzzy inside!
In my fist class (Algebra 2 :P) We learned about imaginary numbers and my teacher was making "i"/ "eye" jokes the whole class period. The jokes were horrible but the fact that she thought they were funny made all of us laugh! In my second class (Endeavor) I looked out the window and it was snowing!!!! With my insane love for Christmas and my enjoyment of snowboarding I ofcourse LOVE snow!!! So I was uber super happy with that! In my third class (Biology :P) We were given the assignment to work with our table to design a city. Though I usually don't associate with my table mates we actually got along pretty well today. Although both of them were complaining about the snow and stating their hate for snow.... I was not all that happy at the time but I got over it.
My last class of the day was English. I love my English class so much! My English teacher Mrs. Gray is HILARIOUS! I love her! Plus the people in the class are pretty fun too! One of my best friends Michelle sits across the aisle from me and we jsut comment on the class and such the whole time and Mrs. Gray is fine with it and I can never get through that class period without laughing, not that I would want to anyway. Today we even had conversations about a field trip to go cow tipping, cannibalism, and wallaby's :) I was laughing so hard my face got all red and I was on the verge of tears!
I had a great day and I have a feeling the rest of the day will be great too! Im listening to Christmas music so ofcourse im happy and very optimistic! :)

CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS!

I am so EXCITED!!!! My favorite holiday ever, is Christmas!!! I love everything about it. The reason we celebrate, which is ofcourse the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The music! I refuse to listen to anything other than Christmas music during the month of December before the 25th. The movies! I love love love Christmas movies!!! The decorations! Lights, holly, red, green, and gold everywhere! And just the feeling of good cheer and charity and love floating around at this time of the year. Now I know not everyone feels the same way about Christmas as me but to me its a magical time of the year. I just feel happier during this time. And if you know me thats crazy that I could be happier! When my friend Emily first met me she was creeped out by me cause she didn't think it was possible for one person to be so happy :)
My moms favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. With that and my own fond feelings of the holiday, I refuse to celebrate Christmas in any way until after Thanksgiving. Every Thanksgiving I watch the Macy's Thanksgving Day Parade with my mom and ofcourse at the end of the parade is Santa. And the commitaters on TV always say that the arival of Santa in the parade means the beggining of the Christmas season! So I go by that. As soon as I see Santa in the parade on TV I can let myself celebrate. Before that time I must restrain myslef. And it is HARD!!!!!
Well as all of you that watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade know, Santa has been seen and I am now officailly allowed to celebrate this wonderous hoilday! And as my mother put it im in "full force". My radio is set to the Christmas station, my 161 Christmas song playlist has been uploaded to my ipod, which has been plugged into my ihome. and my room has been decorated.
My room is the biggest in our whole house! Its actually our attic, redone. My dad redid the whole thing for me and few years ago. After my parents put the lights up on the outside of our house I took the left over lights (2 strands). I wrapped them around the chimney that runs through the middle of my room and the railing that goes around my stair case. Plus I dug out my small sivler sparkily tree and decorated it with the ornaments my grandma gives me every year and the Christmas Carol ornaments I got from my grandparents when they passed away. For the rest of my room I used this set of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer movie figures I have, and a singing plush snow man. And a set of three bears the play the bells. Plus various blankets and other Christmasy things. My room is currently the most Christmasy room in our house :)
As I mentioned, I love Chirstmas music! LOVE it! In my opinion the best Christmas singers are Jim Reeves, Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and Ella Fitzgerald. I also love Christmas music from the Peanuts soundtrack and all the little Christmas movies like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. I also enjoy Christmas musci sang by Hilary Duff, The Beach Boys, Aly and Aj, and many others. I love so many Christmas songs its so hard to chose a favorite one. My moms favorite is Mary Did You Know? but im not so sure... Some of my favorites are White Christmas by Clyde McPhatter and The Drifters, Santa Bring My Baby Back (To Me) by Elvis Presley,  Its the Same Old Christmas by Hilary Duff, We're A couple Of Misfits by Billie Richards and Paul Soles, and I Heard Santa on the Raido by Hilary Duff.
I also metioned I love Christmas movies!!! My favorite is a tie between the wonderful amazing classic White Christmas and the always hilarious Elf. But I also enjoy classics such as Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Polar Express, Home Alone 1 and 2, Holiday in Handcuffs, Santa Claus, Unaccopanied Minors, The Grinch (the human version), and many others :) Well i've rambled on for probably too long on here. Merry Christmas all!!! I will try and post a bit more often :)

12 Hours Of Potter

After weeks of waiting it was finally November 18th, and you know what that meant... HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1 COMES OUT!!!! :D Well me and my best friend Rebecca were SO excited! After a long, slow day of school the bell finally rang. So I called our ride to the movie theater and then came to the realization that I had no idea where Rebecca was... So after a few minuets of looking for her I found my other friend who told me Rebecca was waiting for me in the student center of our school.
So I found Rebecca. We went out to meet up with our friend who was taking us to theater. With Harry Potter snuggie in mt bag we set off. When we finally got to the theater we found it oddly empty. We got a very good parking spot :) Inside the theater we found that we were about 27th in line. So we got all set up and began our long wait. During our wait we had a job to do. My ticket was for a completely different auditorium than the rest of my friends. We tried our best to find someone to switch tickets with but, no luck.
With about 6 hours until midnight and the start of the movie came a surprise. They moved us into the theater. Only problem was I still hadn't found someone to switch my ticket with. When we got to the front of the line where people were checking tickets I handed my ticket to the woman and ofcourse she noticed the difference in auditorium number. "Are you with them" the usher asked. I told her I was and explained that I would be alone in the other theater. She kindly let me go with my friends. I wanted to hug her or give her money or something!
So I made it in! As we sat in our great seats I read and chatted with my friends. Soon we noticed our great hunger. Luckily Rebecca's mom brought us pizza! I ate 2 slices of pizza and 5 pieces of crazy bread. Yum! With food in our bellys and only a few hours left in our wait we sat back in our seats. I finished my book and we spent the remaining time telling stories and asking eachother questions.
FINALLY midnight came! As the previews began to play we noticed something was wrong. The screen was all pink and green and fuzzy. I felt like I was about to cry! But then they got it fixed and the movie started. It was a great movie! I laughed, I cried, I got scared out of my wits! It was a very well rounded movie :)
When the movie finally finished we all left the theater. Rebeccas dad was giving me a ride home. It was when we were almost out of the now crowded parking lot that we realized our school stuff was in our friends car. So when we finally got out of the parking lot we drove over to a close Krispey Kreme and waited for our friend to meet us to give us our stuff. After getting our stuff we finally headed home where I got into bed ASAP and fell asleep instantly :)
    It was a great night!

Welcome to Candyland!

Last Friday was my schools Homecoming! It seemed like it took forever to get there but the day had finally arrived. That night around 7 I went to the football game. We played great! Then at half time I got to see our homecoming quart walk out on the football feild. The girls looked beautiful. Then I left after half time to change.
A little later my date Drew came. He looked very handsome in his suit and brought me a beautiful corsage. After a few pictures we headed off to Homecoming!
When we got to the dance it was very crowded. Once we got through we headed for the dancefloor. There was a path set up to the dancefloor. The path was lined wiht colorful rectangles to make it look like the path on a Candyland game board. It also has fluff all over it, which I slipped on a bit, but luckily didn't fall. There were also some candy canes set up along the path, one almost fell on me but luckily Drew caught it.
The dancefloor was dark and you couldn't really see the decorations, but it was still cool. They played mostly played hip hop songs but I knew most of them. It was tons of fun. We danced the night away, only stopping a few times to get a drink or take pictures.
After the dance I headed back home. Once home I checked my facebook. Apparently a lot of people got kicked out. The new dance rules were just to strict for a lot of people. We actually made the news, because of the amount of people who got kicked out, but I thought the rules were just fine.
No matter what anyone elses opinon was, I enjoyed the night. I had tons of fun!

Ready. Set. SHOP!!!!!

Ok so the first three weeks of school are over. The football season has been kicked off with a bang! So now what? HOMECOMING! And what is one important thing for the girls? Dress shopping!
So me and my friends were getting so excited for the dance, some of got dates and some us just got talked into coming. Well now ofcourse we must go shopping! Its just the girl way. So Sunday afternoon and group of 8 teenage girls set off into the mall!
Well like most teenage girls have probably noticed by now, stores aparently think we are all the size of a pencil and are 5'4. Well as anyone who has seen me knows, im not 5'4, im actually 5'9. So ofcourse almost every dress was short on me.... great! And the most shocking is that I had was with one friend whos very skinny. Shes healthy and excercises like everyday and was the smallest girl with us that day. So for a couple laughs we had her try on this small, form fitting dress. Well it turned out that it took three of us to get this her in that dress! I think thats a sign right there that the dress maufactures need to reasess their sizes.
Store after store we hunted. We tried on dresses, laughed at the stupid ones and gave opinions. Finally it came towards to the end of the trip, one by one girls left to go to soccer games and church events until finally it was just me and my friend. Only 2 people had actually bought anything! At 6 the mall closed and my mom picked both me and my friend up.
After dropping off my friend, my mom offerd to take me to Khols for last try at finding a dress that day. So I agreed and we went to Khols. They only have 4 types of homecoming dresses and all but one were not even cute. So I took the one cute dress to the dressing room not really expecting much. A couple minuets later I was looking in the mirror and saw that the dress fit me, and we really actually very cute! YES! So we bought it and I went home a happy girl. Mission accomplished. Homecoming here I come!!!!!!

48 hours

Last Sunday I was at the mall witha bunch of my friends! Fun right? Well I also got some bad news. My Speech and Debate partner told me she was quitting debate. My event with her was the only event I currently had. So I had a decesion to make, To do debate or quit debate.
The situation even got worse. My parents were about to pay a lot of money for me to duel inroll in debate. The duel inrollment papers were due Tuesday, that gave me 48 hours to make this HUGE desicsion. Well I went to my history teacher who was in charge of it all and told him my situation. He took my papers and told me to talk to my debate teacher and make a descision before Wendsday and to let him know.
Monday came and went and I still hadn't made a descision. I loved debate last year but I didn't think I was good enough to do another event without my partner. I went and talked to my debate teacher and she said she didn't want me to quit. Her not wanting me to quit made my descecision for me. I wasn't quitting. So now im in an event on my own, WISH ME LUCK!!!! :)

Awesome weekend? Yes!

If you ever find yourself bored with nothing to do, I have a suggestion. Call up a couple friends and just have some random fun!!!!

This weekend was pretty darn fun for me. I had nothing to do on Saturday night so I called up three of my friends to go to a movie. We went and saw Despicable Me. I would highly recommend Despicable Me. Saturday was the second time I saw it, and it was still funny!!!

After the movie we went to a cool little gelato shop in downtown. They had some good gelato! The flavors that ened up getting picked were Chocolate Marshmellow, Blueberry Cream, and Apple Pie! YUM! And the spoons were pretty cool. They were small and looked like little shovles.

After gelato, we went to a local park. At the park we climbed a rock, played in a fountain, and rolled down a big grassey hill. Though I came home bruised and with a few new bug bites, it was tons of fun! I have great friends! And I hope all you out there have friends just as awesome!

Every Sunday I go to the same church i've gone to since I was born, but last Sunday my friend invited me to come to his church. My home church is just a normal church nothing too odd about it, but my friends church was odd in a cool kind of way. His church only had around 13 members and met at one members house. It was definatly different but great way. It was an awesome experience for me and I hope to go with him agina sometime.

I had a great weekend with great friends, and im very blessed for that :)
