Things That Happened Today:
Storms
I Was Sick
Drew Was Sick
My day? Not that great. This morning I woke up and didn't feel good so I didn't go to school. Plus to add on to the sucky-ness Drew was home from school sick today as well and it hasn't stopped storming since Yesterday. Once my parents went to work this morning I laid back down and started watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part one, which I got for Easter, and I fell asleep during the beginning of it. I woke up to loud thunder booming and shaking my window. Then I had the lunch of champions: Cheesy taters, Bagel Bites, and a bottle of Coke. Yeah.... That's all I could find. After that I spent most of my day playing Club Penguin. Have you ever played Club Penguin? If not you should check it out. If you want to click here. You have to sign up but it's free unless you become a member. I love being a secret agent on it and going on missions. That's my favorite thing to do. I also like going to the dojo and playing Card-Jitsu. I'm currently an orange belt.
So around 4 O' clock my mom asked if I was gonna go to my violin lesson that I have every Monday at 5. I felt up to it but there was one problem: my violin was at school. I called my teacher and asked what she thought I should do and I ended up still going to the lesson. I used her violin and she had copies of my music. So as you can see my day wasn't exactly... enjoyable. Oh well bad days come and go and I am hopeful that... THE SUN WILL COME OUT TOMORROW! :)
God Bless

What Brings Me Down? Rainy Days and Mondays.
Easter Weekend
HE HAS RISEN!!!
This past weekend was Easter weekend for all of you that were not aware. Easter is a big deal to me. It didn't used to be, until I got into the youth program at my church. That's when the whole idea and my way of viewing Easter changed. Each year my church has an Easter vigil. A vigil is "wakefulness maintained for any reason during the normal hours for sleeping," according to dictionary.com. Each year on Easter weekend we all show up at the church Friday night (Good Friday.) That night we have a "Good Friday Service of Darkness" which the youth runs. This year we sang some songs and showed some videos. During the last song 12 different youth members got to go blow out 12 of the candles on the alter (I being one of the chosen youth members) until there was only one candle left. From that candle we lit a torch that we took outside to a fire pit in this big grassy area in front of the church in sight of the road. We lit a fire there, our goal for the weekend was to keep the fire burning for the rest of the weekend until Easter morning. For those of you not familiar with the story of Easter, Jesus was crucified on Good Friday and died. He was dead for three days, and rose from the dead on the third day which is the day we celebrate Easter. (Just FYI that's a very watered-down, short, not very good, explanation. I highly recommend you read the actual story in the Bible.) So the point of it all is we are "waiting for Jesus." Its an interesting experience, we all stay at the church, sleep on the couches in the youth room, and everyone sign up for a shift out by the fire. There is always someone out by the fire unless there was a storm warning (which we did have a few of those.) It was lots of fun! Here's some pictures from it:

It was a lot of fun and me, Drew, and Chavis stayed the whole weekend except for a few hours on Saturday night me and Drew left. Me and Drew went to my grandmas house where my dads side of the family was celebrating Easter. Yep, Drew met my family. And I'm happy that Drew still likes me even after meeting my insane family. Over all the weekend was really good, and defiantly an Easter to remember. How was your Easter? What did you do? I'd love to hear from you.

This Is Where The Healing Begins
At my church we're doing a series called "Life Hurts God Heals" and every Sunday morning before the sermon they play this little video that says a bunch of quotes and plays this song called "Healing Begins" by Tenth Avenue North. Well I liked the song so I went to YouTube tonight to look it up and hear the entire song, because they only play the chorus in the video on Sunday mornings. Well, while I was looking for a good video of it I stumbled across a video called "Tenth Avenue North- "Healing Begins" Video Journal" so I clicked on it cause I was curious. I actually found it had a great message so I wanted to share it with you, so here it is:

I love Jedi Connection!
So last night I went to a dodge ball tournament to cheer on my favorite dodge ball team the Jedi Connection! Why are they my favorite you may ask, well because the team is filled with my favorite people! The team consists of the captain: Drew, the MVP: Denver, Rebecca, Katie, Brenden, and Chavis. The whole team dressed in black and wore purple headbands. They even gave me a purple headband. It was so fun. The team didn't win the tournament but they defiantly won the award of being awesome in my opinion! The team even had one of there members make it to the all-star team; Denver. Denver = Awesome as does all the team. I have pictures coming soon :)

Now I have one last picture, with a story. This week has been spirit week at my school. Today was "Teacher Tuesday" where you were supposed to dress like your favorite teacher. So me and Rebecca dressed as our journalism teacher Nurnberg, who is also the soccer coach. So I borrowd some athletic Adidas sweat pants and a soccer jacket from my friend Marissa who's on the soccer team and carried around a coffee cup :)
