Update on the Bucket List!

Hey guys! Sorry It's taken me so long to post. My summer has been super busy with work and stuff and my summer has actually turned out to be pretty rough. But I'm posting now and I've actually accomplished some of the things on my bucket list!

16. See Brave in theatres:
Me and my friend Sarah both LOVE Disney movies so we got together and saw Brave at the midnight premiere! Here is us with one of the triplets, they were my favorite characters! I would definitely suggest seeing this movie. I loved it and was actually super impressed and not at all disappointed.

18. Go to a baseball game:
So my whole family loves the St. Louis Cardinals and my dad got some tickets to a game! It was a lot of fun and I got some great pics while I was there.
Great seats and fun with temporary tattoos!

I love my mom

Gotta love Busch stadium

Freadbird!

Fireworks at the game!

20. Get gelato:
Me and my friend Sarah went to get gelato downtown. I have loved strawberry gelato since I went to Eurpoe last summer.

22. Do senior pictrures:
I got my senior pictures done! The shoot was so fun and I love all my pictures. I ca't post any quite yet but I hopefully will soon. I took photos at my church, the photoraphers studio, an antique shop downtown, and a really neat park where I even got into a fountain for a couple pictures.

23. Clean out my closet:
I finally got around to celaning out all the clothes that either didn't fit or I just didn't wear anymore. After I finished I had 4 full trashbags of clothes and shoes that I plan to sell later at a garage sale.

24. Make my own popsicles:
With the help of some of my friends I made my own popsicles out of orange juice and black cherry koolaid. They were so good!
Ingredients

Before

After. Yum!

26. Go shopping downtown:
Me and my mom went downtown to check out the shops. I got this awesome Great Gatsby shirt at one of the shops.

Still working on the list. I have about a month left before I start my senior year. Wish me luck! I'll need it.

You Never Know Where Or When You'll Find Encouragement

Yesterday my mom texted me about seeing a movie when she got off work. Sounded like fun but I had church at 6:30 and the movie wouldn't be done by then, so me and my mom decided to go today instead. So today around 4 we headed to Walgreen's to pick up some cheaper candy and headed to the theater in town that shows movies after they leave the regular movie theatres but before they go out on DVD. My mom choose the movie and choose the movie Soul Surfer. In case you haven't heard about the movie click on the video below.

When all this happened in real life I never really knew much about it. Up until just a couple years ago I was the biggest scardy cat I knew. No joke, I was like Chuckie from the Rugrats only blond, female, and not nearly as stylish (by the way if anyone finds a place that sells shirts like the one Chuckie wore let me know, PLEASE!). Anyway, because of my irrational fear of so many things my parents didn't really share the news of the girl who was attacked by a shark in Hawaii. I'm sure they would like me to actually get in the water next time we went to the beach. So pretty much the only way I really got to know the story of Bethany Hamilton was through seeing girls at my school read the book written about her story. With so little info about this story in my memory I wasn't exactly "thrilled" to see the movie. I wasn't disappointed to see it but I was jumping up and down protesting that they let us in the theatre ASAP. Turns out the movie was truly amazing! I loved it, but not because of the special effects, soundtrack, or amazing acting (but the acting was quite well done and I love AnnaSophia Robb if there is ever a movie made about me I want her to play me) I loved the movie because of the message. The message of how God gives you strength to do anything no matter what the odds. When you see the trailers you would never know about that message but it is truly the amazing and best part of the film. I recommend it to everyone, whether you need encouragement or you just want a good movie to see.
I would like to share one more thing with you all. I can't explain it as well as JK Rowling, so if you have even the slightest bit of interest in Harry Potter go to pottermore.com :)

School, Shopping, Theatre, And A Happy Book

I hate this end of school, dragging on, slower that a slug pulling a 20 pound weight along sand period. My school gets out June third so I'm down to 8 school days!!! It feels like forever though. Its like in those movies where someones dreaming or something and their running down a hallway but it never gets any shorter. Doors are rushing past you but you never seem to make it any farther down the hall. If I'm that person running I am starting to lose my stamina and I'm about to pass out! Most of my teachers aren't too bad. Keeping it simple, not too much homework, and what-not. The only problem is my English teacher/ class. Somehow she thinks we are going to finish the book The Chosen in 8 days. We were supposed to read the first four chapters by today and from everyone I talked to, I'm pretty sure I'm one of two of the people who actually read the chapters. I'm also pretty sure I'm the only person who did the worksheets. We had four chapters and 3 worksheets due today plus I had an Algebra test this morning, ugh! so basically I was up until midnight and still didn't get all the work finished. I did finish the work this morning but I'm now sleep deprived and worn out. This was not my first late nighter from English in the last two weeks either. Last week the band Third Eye Blind was having a concert in my town. Considering no one cool ever comes to my town I had to go. I bought two tickets (one for me and one for my cousin Marissa) the day they went on sale. I was SO excited! Then my English teacher assigned a project on Wednesday that was to be due Friday and the concert was Thursday. Crap. So what did I do? Blow off the project like most teenager coming home from a concert at 10:30 PM tired and with a stomach ache? Nope. That annoying little goody-two-shoes inside of me was screaming "NO! You must finish your project! You can't turn it in late! NO!" So, I stayed up until 2 AM that night and still did not finish the stupid project. AND I had already worked on it for 5 hours before I even went to the concert. So I worked on it all day in any free time I could possibly scrounge up during the school day. Then after 10 hours of works, sleep derivation and my hand looking like a bag of skittles from the magic markers I used, I was finally done with the project. So to sum up all this rambling and ranting I just did: English sucks, I'm an extreme goody-two-shoes, and school cannot end fast enough! Phew sorry about that, I needed to let that go before my brain exploded like a grape being sat on by the worlds largest (and heaviest) teddy bear.
Now that I'm back to a normal brain functioning state, I can tell you about my weekend. I had a great weekend!!!! Friday night me, my mom, my dad, and Drew watched Tangled. Have you seen that movie!? I love that movie!!! IT was the third time I've seen it and I still laughed out loud! **SPOILER ALERT! IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN TANGLED DO NOT READ THE SECTION IN ITALICS** So I feel the need to share my favorite parts of this movie with you. So favorite song? I've Got A Dream. My favorite scene? When Rapunzel and Flinn are in the boat and they are completely surrounded by the floating lights! So cool! I decided after that, that my wedding will have a ton of lights! So many lights you may say there are too many lights!!! (If you haven't already guessed I love lights.) You know I think I'm going to write a blog post about my dream wedding someday but for now back to Tangled. The funniest part in my opinion? When they go into the Snuggily Duckling (I love snuggily ducklings.) and she meets all the thugs and they sing about what their dreams are. My favorite thug? It's a tie between the one who collects unicorns and the one who wants to be a mime. Favorite character? Pascel the camelion, I love him. Favorite quote? "Is that blood in your mustache sir? Look at this Blondie, look at all the blood in this mans mustache. That is a lot of blood." said by Flinn. Ok I'm done now. Back to my weekend. That Saturday I was woken up at 7 AM (ugh!) and me, my mom, my aunt, and my cousin Marissa headed off to this city a few hours away from my town. The entire way there my mom and aunt were singing oldies. Most teenagers and young adults would be completely embarrassed and be driven out of their minds by this but me and my cousin loved it. We were singing right along with them. Songs by the Carpenters, The Four Seasons, George Harrison, and many others. Once we finally made it to our destination we went shopping. The enjoyable pass time of many girls around the world. We shopped and shopped and shopped. I got to go to Urban Outfitters. Have you been to that store? I love that store! I wish we had one in my town. Finally we had to leave so we headed to our hotel to change and then met my aunts two friends to go eat then we went to see.... *Drum roll* Jersey Boys!!! If you don't know what that is, I'm sorry. I loved that show! It's now tied for my second favorite musical with The Music Man after Legally Blonde the Musical. If you know me and my love for musicals that is a very high honor. The show was amazing!!!! Great music, great story great acting! If you haven't heard of it here is an informational video. Watch it and be informed:

Like I said, I loved it! Then after the show we were parked next to the stage door and when we were walking to our car we saw the guys leaving and I got all four of their autographs!!!! It was awesome! Just FYI the guys in the video are not the ones I saw. I saw a different cast but I loved the cast I saw. The next day all we did the next day was again shopping. We went to a different mall and shopped and shopped and shopped. It was awesome. I ended up buying this thing called The Happy Book. Its full of all kinds of prompts for you to write about what makes you happy. I decided to share a couple of the prompts with all of you when I find one I really like so you can all do it with me! I will also share some of my answers to the prompt :) Well I've written a lot and if you've made it this far I thank you! and congrats on being a Dailey Hailey super fan! Crossbar = LAME! ..... By Hailey :)

So we had to write movie reviews for my journalism class. I thought I'd share it with you :)

Crossbar = LAME!
By Hailey

How would I describe the made-for-Canadian-TV movie “Crossbar” in one word? Olympic? Inspiring? Touching? Not so much.
Who was Kim Cattrall before she was sex crazed Samantha Jones of “Sex and the City”? She was just Katie, the bipolar Canadian, starring in “Crossbar.” As the “Olympic love interest,” Kim Catrrall did not win the gold medal of my opinion.
But she wasn’t the only one on the “Crossbar team” to not win that gold medal.
Who was Brent Carver before he was Gandolf in “The Lord of the Rings” musical? (The musical not the movie.) He was the “corny afro-tastic Aaron”.  With a role as prestigious as Gandolf, you know he had to be amazing in his early work-right? More or less.
In this movie Aaron, a young Olympic high jumper struggles to deal with the loss of his leg and with his own personal problems as well as trying to convince his skeptical father that he is not a freak but the same guy with a dream he has always been.
What stuck out most to me about the character of Aaron, was his mega perm. Really I didn’t see anything too special or interesting about this character. Though being good with one leg, Brent Carver did not impress me at all in this roll. As far as his acting style goes, I think someone should have stopped him and made him aware of the fact that yelling doesn’t make a moment more dramatic, only loud.
Where the character of Katie could have been very good as a sweet, helpful type of girl, Cattrall portrayed her as bipolar and completely off her rocker, between pushing a guy with one leg into a river and then later telling him she loves him but she doesn’t want to be with him and that she’s leaving for France, but not really, she’s just going to stay with him instead. In the end I was more scared of Katie than touched by her help to her co-star Aaron.
Although the acting wasn’t the only thing to stand out in this movie. There were other components to this film and all its “glory.”
As for the music, that is one soundtrack I will not be buying. The music was too over dramatic and reminded me only of the music people hear going up in an elevator.
I know this movie was based on a farm in the ‘70s but come on people! When the movie first started, I thought I was watching “Attack of the Flannel Shirts” not “Crossbar.”
But if you are a fan of slow-motion close-ups of people in deep thought, this is a movie for you.
It would be very hard to describe this movie in one word; I can’t choose between the words Lame and Bland.

"Pay attention and you will see how genius creates a legend." -Shakespeare in Love

Ello :)
So I'm listening to Disney music and its making me very happy :) I know I've said this before but if 1. you don't have a Pandora then GET ONE! and 2. As soon as you get one or if you already have one you MUST make a Walt Disney station. It is amazing!!! I love Disney <3 <3 <3 I own almost every old Disney movie you can think of, except Beauty and the Beast. I used to own it but then my dad didn't check the VHS before he taped something not as important as Beauty and the Beast over it :( I cried. At least he didn't tape over Cinderella, I would have killed him if he did. Its my favorite Disney movie. Bibitty Bobitty Boop!
I'm kinda on a movie high lately. I have three movies that I really want to see. Their all dramatic which generally isn't my style but I want to see these so bad!!!!
     1. Shakespeare In Love. Its a movie I've already seen some of, but not all of it. It was my inspiration for my World History paper (that I have yet to start), which is the history of theatre/ Elizabeth I. I love theatre! I've seen many plays in my days, even some Broadway plays (ex. Legally Blonde the Musical, The Lion King, The Music Man). I'm currently interested in seeing the opera La Boheme.
     2. The Phantom of the Opera. Its a classic and I have a couple friends who love it so I want to see it. I'd also LOVE to see it as a play of course, but ill start with seeing the movie. Is there any plays and/ or musicals you want to see?
     3. Les Miserables. I had already seen the very beginning once when a connection was made to the beginning in my Sunday school class. Then this past week my World History teacher showed us the first 30 minutes of it. Now I really want to see the rest of it. I also wouldn't mind seeing the opera as well :)
As you can see from all this I am also on a theatre high. But I'm always on that :) If you are wanting to see a show I could suggest many: Legally Blonde the Musical (my favorite), The Music Man (my 2nd favorite), The Putnam County Spelling Bee, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil. Plays I want to see that you might too: Wicked, Mary Poppins, American Idiot, Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles, Mamma Mia, Wonderland, Viva ELVIS Cirque du soleil. Also there's Jersey Boys, I'm getting ready to see that one. Me, my mom, and my aunt are planning a trip to a near by town that its coming to soon :)
My favorite play is Leagally Blonde the Musical, I have the CD soundtrack, a T-shirt, a big button! I love it! I went and saw it a year ago. My mom got me tickets for my birthday. One of the best gifts I've ever received :) I sang along throughout the whole play! I wish my school theatre department would do it, I would try out for it in a heart beat! My friend Sydney also loves it, we both think our high school should do it and we'd both try out and we think she should get Paulette and I should get Elle. We know all the words to all the songs, a lot of the lines, and we sing it... well a lot, lol.
Well I think I've rambled enough for now.

God Bless

A Look Inside My Room

Its what you've all been waiting for!!!! A look inside the room, of the girl behind the blog!!! Oh.... So that's not what you've been waiting for? Oh... well.... here it is anyway. It doesn't match the awesomeness of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but it may still be found interesting by some :)
Now you may be asking yourself  "what is that!?!?" Well that my friends is a cannibalistic banana. A one of a kind. Now you may be thinking I'm nuts, and I very well may be but I love my cannibalistic banana. It was made and given to me for my 15th birthday by my friend Sydney. I was a joke we came up with one day. I personally feel Sydney is awesome for making this :) Next to my cannibalistic banana is my Buzz Lightyear bear, I made him last time I went to Build-A-Bear :)
This is my piggy bank. His name is Pig as you can see by the tattoo below his ear. Not a very creative name but it suits him. As you can see Pig is orange and has purple spots all over him. He's not sick, that's just how I made him. You can also see Pig has a lips mark on his cheek, he's quite the ladies man ;)

This is Mr.Stuffy Wuffy but I call him Stuffy for short. Stuffy is one of my very best friends!!! He's also my oldest friend. I got him from the hospital I was born at. He's a little more old a worn than back then, but he still looks pretty good to me. When I first got him he was a darker shade of brown, fuzzier, and had a bright red ribbon rapped around his neck. When we first got our dog Milo he ripped off Stuffy's red ribbon and even ate part of his tag... Milo's not allowed around Stuffy anymore. I have loved Stuffy for years. For years I refused to sleep without him or I would cry all night. Over the years I've bought Stuffy clothes and accessories (skateboard, backpack, bear ipod, etc.) at Build-A-Bear. This is my favorite outfit of his: Overalls and a Cardinal's T-shirt. My family's ALL about overalls and Cardinal's baseball.

I don't know about you but I LOVE the Beatles. If your any kind of fan of them you should know the song Penny Lane. I bought this road sign at this Beatles show I went to see a while back. I have yet to actually hang it up in my room but I'm still trying to find the right spot. My rooms in the Attic of our house so my walls are kinda slanted.

This is my spoon collection! Yes that's right I collect spoons. You can find these little collectible spoons at tourist places everywhere!!! I started collecting spoons after my grandma died. She had the collection which my mom would always bring her spoons for from places we would go (my mom used to be a travel agent so we traveled a lot). When she died my mom gave her collection to me and I just started adding to it :) And yes next to it is a Rubik's cube, Tiger, an alien, and bubbles.

This is the bulletin board I have up in my room. On it I have pictures of me and my friends, stickers from places I've been to, posters from shows Ive seen, SOME of my button collection, my NFL (National Forensics League) certificate, and other little things.
This is a poster for the band VOTA. I saw them once at this thing my friend invited me to. I got the band to sign it!

This is a portion of my shoes. The rest of my shoes are all randomly spread around my house. In there I have 4 of my 5 pairs of converse. I love converse :) I have a blue pair, a gray pair, a black pair, a brown pair, and a pair of pink high tops! And yes those are posters of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Taylor Lautner, Michael Jackson, and Nathan Kress. My closet is covered in posters!

I love my pink high tops very much!

My movie collection! Full of hits such as A Hard Days Night, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Cheaper By The Dozen, Ferris Bullers Day Off, Grease, Harry Potter movies 1-6, Toy Story, and Twilight. Sadly though I do not own my favorite movie which is Pretty In Pink.
My book hall of fame! I have other books but these are my favorites. Theres the Harry Potter series, the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, the Emily Windsnap series, the Twilight series (don't judge me their really good books its just the fan girls that suck), the Junie B. Jones series, Oliver Twist, Kiki Strike and the Shadow City, some Shel Silverstein books, Love That Dog, my choir tour journal, and my favorite book The Host.
This is my collection of VHS movies. I have almost every old Disney movie you can think of. With classics like Peter Pan, Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid and others. I also have episodes from Pee-Wee's Playhouse, Rocky and Bullwinkle, and some old McDonald's story's my grandma gave me :)

my stack of old albums. I like going to album shops :) This is one my mom found for me cause its my favorite movie. According to the guy working there its pretty rare. I also have Beatles Abby Road, Queens Flash, and an Electric Light Orchestra Album.

This is my ihome and my ipod. My ipod has a skin it on it of the painting Stary Night. The song I had playing was You Belong To Me by Patsy Cline. It's my favorite song :) The white ipod sitting next to it is my old ipod that likes to not work sometimes, which is why I got the new one.

Well that's a small look at my room. Hope you liked it, and if not, sorry.

God Bless

Polar Express in English

Today went pretty good! I handed out the majority of my Christmas presents and cards and everyone seemed to like them! And the assembly went ok, our first performance was a little iffy but the second one was better. Then after school today me and my friends Madie, Marissa, and Cheryl and Drew went and watched Polar Express in the French room. The movie was for World Language club and we were supposed to be watching it in Spanish, but the teacher in charge had a staff meeting so she told us that if she wasn't back by 3:15 to start the movie. So 3:15 came around and she wasn't back so we started the movie, only problem was it was way too far ahead. So we rewinded it, only problem was when we restarted it, it was back in English. We didn't know how to change it so we just left it, after a while the teacher came back but she never metioned that the movie was in English until the very end and so we ust explainded what happend. Well only 1 more day of school for me and my school and then its Christmas break im both excited and a little sad. Im excited to get some time off school and relax but im a little sad about my friends who are leaving town to visit family. Oh well, im still excited to not have school :) Not much to say tonight, sorry.

Merry Christmas and God Bless

CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS!

I am so EXCITED!!!! My favorite holiday ever, is Christmas!!! I love everything about it. The reason we celebrate, which is ofcourse the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The music! I refuse to listen to anything other than Christmas music during the month of December before the 25th. The movies! I love love love Christmas movies!!! The decorations! Lights, holly, red, green, and gold everywhere! And just the feeling of good cheer and charity and love floating around at this time of the year. Now I know not everyone feels the same way about Christmas as me but to me its a magical time of the year. I just feel happier during this time. And if you know me thats crazy that I could be happier! When my friend Emily first met me she was creeped out by me cause she didn't think it was possible for one person to be so happy :)
My moms favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. With that and my own fond feelings of the holiday, I refuse to celebrate Christmas in any way until after Thanksgiving. Every Thanksgiving I watch the Macy's Thanksgving Day Parade with my mom and ofcourse at the end of the parade is Santa. And the commitaters on TV always say that the arival of Santa in the parade means the beggining of the Christmas season! So I go by that. As soon as I see Santa in the parade on TV I can let myself celebrate. Before that time I must restrain myslef. And it is HARD!!!!!
Well as all of you that watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade know, Santa has been seen and I am now officailly allowed to celebrate this wonderous hoilday! And as my mother put it im in "full force". My radio is set to the Christmas station, my 161 Christmas song playlist has been uploaded to my ipod, which has been plugged into my ihome. and my room has been decorated.
My room is the biggest in our whole house! Its actually our attic, redone. My dad redid the whole thing for me and few years ago. After my parents put the lights up on the outside of our house I took the left over lights (2 strands). I wrapped them around the chimney that runs through the middle of my room and the railing that goes around my stair case. Plus I dug out my small sivler sparkily tree and decorated it with the ornaments my grandma gives me every year and the Christmas Carol ornaments I got from my grandparents when they passed away. For the rest of my room I used this set of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer movie figures I have, and a singing plush snow man. And a set of three bears the play the bells. Plus various blankets and other Christmasy things. My room is currently the most Christmasy room in our house :)
As I mentioned, I love Chirstmas music! LOVE it! In my opinion the best Christmas singers are Jim Reeves, Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, and Ella Fitzgerald. I also love Christmas music from the Peanuts soundtrack and all the little Christmas movies like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. I also enjoy Christmas musci sang by Hilary Duff, The Beach Boys, Aly and Aj, and many others. I love so many Christmas songs its so hard to chose a favorite one. My moms favorite is Mary Did You Know? but im not so sure... Some of my favorites are White Christmas by Clyde McPhatter and The Drifters, Santa Bring My Baby Back (To Me) by Elvis Presley,  Its the Same Old Christmas by Hilary Duff, We're A couple Of Misfits by Billie Richards and Paul Soles, and I Heard Santa on the Raido by Hilary Duff.
I also metioned I love Christmas movies!!! My favorite is a tie between the wonderful amazing classic White Christmas and the always hilarious Elf. But I also enjoy classics such as Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Polar Express, Home Alone 1 and 2, Holiday in Handcuffs, Santa Claus, Unaccopanied Minors, The Grinch (the human version), and many others :) Well i've rambled on for probably too long on here. Merry Christmas all!!! I will try and post a bit more often :)

Awesome weekend? Yes!

If you ever find yourself bored with nothing to do, I have a suggestion. Call up a couple friends and just have some random fun!!!!

This weekend was pretty darn fun for me. I had nothing to do on Saturday night so I called up three of my friends to go to a movie. We went and saw Despicable Me. I would highly recommend Despicable Me. Saturday was the second time I saw it, and it was still funny!!!

After the movie we went to a cool little gelato shop in downtown. They had some good gelato! The flavors that ened up getting picked were Chocolate Marshmellow, Blueberry Cream, and Apple Pie! YUM! And the spoons were pretty cool. They were small and looked like little shovles.

After gelato, we went to a local park. At the park we climbed a rock, played in a fountain, and rolled down a big grassey hill. Though I came home bruised and with a few new bug bites, it was tons of fun! I have great friends! And I hope all you out there have friends just as awesome!

Every Sunday I go to the same church i've gone to since I was born, but last Sunday my friend invited me to come to his church. My home church is just a normal church nothing too odd about it, but my friends church was odd in a cool kind of way. His church only had around 13 members and met at one members house. It was definatly different but great way. It was an awesome experience for me and I hope to go with him agina sometime.

I had a great weekend with great friends, and im very blessed for that :)
