Hurray for spaghetti!

Yellow!
Well I don't have a whole lot of rime so I'm going to make this brief. I'm currently sitting next to Rebecca. We are in the middle of the process of this secret project of awesomeness!!!! Well you may not find to THAT awesome but we're sure havin  fun with it! I can't reveal to you what it is just yet but you shall find out either tomorrow or the next day. We just took a break for dinner. Hurray for spaghetti and  garlic bread from courtesy of my mom!
Not much else to tell you about. I didn't wake up today until 1 PM when my grandma called me with a question about a Christmas present she got me. Good thing she did or I may still be asleep now! jk but I would have at least slept a little longer. Because of my long sleep time though I ended up eating lunch a 3 in the afternoon. Lucky for me I ended up finishing cleaning my room last night! Yay for me!
Have you noticed my new header? A special thanks to Rebecca for her help with that! And for helping my come up with my new slogan (ya know like McDonald's saying "mmm I'm lovin' it) "For your daily dose of uncalculated good humor." Plus my song of the day will now be located over there to the right above my poll. Also thanks to everyone who voted! Looks like the majority enjoy the Christmas singer Bing Crosby :) An one last thing, thanks to everyone who commented. If I didn't comment back, im sorry, something was up and I couldn't figure it out but no worries now Rebecca and me figured it out. We're not real sure what we did but whatever it was it worked!!!! Well we better get back to work on that secret project of awesomeness!

SONG OF THE DAY

Firework by Katy Perry

Oscar the hexapus

Cello! (Yet another way to say hello)
This morning I had to wake myself up at 9:00 am. Well for me on a day I don't have school or church, thats early for me. I generally don't wake up until noon when im on a break from school. So I walked around my house in a sort of sleep induced trance, getting ready, until my uncle knocked on my door... and kept knocking on my door. He kept knocking until I got off the computer and opend the door for him. He was there to pick me up. My grandma, cousin Claire, and me were going to the mall. My cousin Claire (who is three) got two Build-A-Bear gift cards for Christmas. I love Build-A-Bear and thought it would be fun to take my little cousin. Well she wasn't very interested, the whole time all she wanted to do was call me Bill. Oh well, maybe she'll enjoy it more when she's older. After that I got to go Charming Charlie's. Have you ever been to a Charming Charlies store? If not you need to find one and shop at it! It's like the heaven of jewlry. WARNING: If your a boy you probably won't enjoy this store but it's an excellent place to buy girls gifts. I got a gift card to there so I bought me some jewlry! I bought a new ring (I very much enjoy rings) and a necklace with a dove on it :)
So last night I got REALLY bored last night. So I attempted some photography. Im not sure if its good or not. This is Oscar, he's a hexapus, like an octopus but with only six legs.

So when my mom got home from work I was just lounging on the couch being bored out of my head! So she told me to go clean my room, *sigh*. Unfortunatly I was actually bored enough to go upstairs and start cleaning my room. Ew. This will probably be a two day job though because I clean my room with the TV on and generally stop every five to ten minuets to watch some TV, then start cleaning again 15 to 30 minuets later. I have about 1/3 of it semi-done right now... Well on that note I better get back to cleaning. Goodnight!

God Bless

SONG OF THE DAY

Rhythm Of Love by Plain White T's

De-lame-a-fying!

So im really trying to come up with ways to make this blog a bit less lame... So if you notice some changes that why. First of all I decided to do a cong of the day! Once Decembers over a may or may not post everyday but everyday that I do post ill post a song of the day! Also Im bringing in back-up! Im having one of my best friends Rebecca who is very good at blogging help me out with making it look more coolio. Hope you guys like the updates to come :)

Nerf wars, diving cats, and a big musical movie!

Hello people of the internet!
Yet another day of blogging! Well today my boyfriend Drew got back in town after being gone, visiting his family for Christmas. So I went over to his house. We had a nerf war! Me, him, and his little brother Denver. Drew was going down! In the end me and Drew had a truce, agreeing that Denver was the one who went down (I think he just wanted to end it before he totally lost lol). Drew did get a few battle wounds out of it though. I hit him in the eye, the ear, and the cheek. His eye is fine but he couldn't hear out of his ear for a few seconds and it hurt for a while after, plus he had a small mark on his cheek where I shot him. I however walked away from the war scarless, haha! After that we walked down to a park near his house. It was a little chilly out but pretty nice for the most part. I laid on the ground and tried to see shapes in the clouds but there weren't many clouds out and the ones that were out mostly just looked like blobs. I did get one shape out of one cloud. I saw a cat diving! Drew said he thought the cloud looked like a hoarse with five legs, with its back end being a ghost. Once it finally got to where we couldn't stand the cold any longer we walked back. Once we were back we played some video games. Then we watched a movie, ill bet you'll never guess the movie... Blues Clues- Blues big Musical Movie!!! It was awesome :) I didn't get to see the end though :( I guess ill never know how the show turns out... oh well, I guess it will just have to stay a mystery until next time I go over to Drews house. Hope all you guys had a good day too!

God Bless

I love my friends

Jello! (Like hello only I said jello)
Well today I would just like to dedicate my post to my wonderful friends and tell you a bit about them.
First off is my friend Rebecca. Rebecca and I have been friends for years, im not usre how many, I lost count a while back. But she's always been there for me. For a while I only saw here on Sundays and special trips with our youth group but then we got into 9th grade and started going to the same school. Shes funny and very hyper and probably the biggest Harry Potter fan on the planet. Shes awesome, she also has a blog http://msrebeccamarie.blogspot.com/. You should really check it out, she's who got me into blogging and she's extremly good at it. Also she posts some of her pictures on there and you should see some of them, shes an amazing photographer :)

Me and Rebecca :)

Theres also my friend Emily. Emily and I have been friends since 6th grade so that would be a total of.... like 4.5 years or so. She is about the same height as me so she uderstands the problems that come with being very very tall. She's a great friend to talk to and is rather funny. We both play the violin and always seem to end up sitting next to each other. All through middle school we battled over 1st and 2nd chair, switching chairs pretty much every week! Shes unique with her country accent but I wouldn't trade her for anything :)

Me and Emily at a football game

Then theres Michelle... ah what to say about Michelle. Well, we met all the way back in kindergarden. We didn't really become friends until about the 3rd grade though. Her best friend Lynn had moved away and so had my best friend Veronica, and I don't mean like moved away down the block, or even to the next town I mean moved away to an entirly different state, both of them. So me and Michelle were kind out of best friends... So one day at recess we decided since both of our best friends were gone we should just become best friends, and we have been ever since. Michelle is hilarious!!! A tad crazy but I love that about her. Ok well maybe more than a tad. I always have fun when Im around her and she ALWAYS makes me laugh! I love her (but ofcourse I love all of them.) :)

This is Michelle, with awesome shoes :)

Can't forget my cousin Tinsley. Tallness is hereditary in our family so naturally she's tall too. She is fun to have around at family events and I love her. Since we're cousin's we have of course known each other since birth. Tinsley's about 8 months younger than me. She's silly as is our whole family, and is pretty funny. She lives in another town so I don't get to see her all that often, so I always love when I do get to see her :)

\
Me and Tinsley in outfits we made with help from our Grandma

Then there's Drew my boyfriend. Though he is my boyfriend I do still consider him one of my best friends. I have known Drew since 6th grade. For the first few years we weren't really friends but we started to actually associate around 9th grade. This past summer is when we really started talking a lot and thats when we became best friends. Me and Drew both play the violin, love the Beatles, love old movies and so much more. We have a TON in common. 3 months ago (to the day!) Drew asked me out and we have been dating ever since then but we still consider each other as friends as well :)

This is Drew, Cute huh? :)

And the last friend ill talk about is my mom. I know its sappy and out of the ordinary for teenagers but I still consider my mom one of my best friends. You may think it weird but I love hanging out with my mom, going shopping, watching movies, whatever. My moms really cool and I love her SO much! :)

Me and my mom

I can depend on all these friends for whatever I need and I hope and pray that all of you out there have this same kind of relationship with at least one person in your life wether it be your best friend, your boyfriend/ girlfriend, or even your mom. I encourage you to check out my friend Rebeccas blog and also my friend Madie's blog http://pricelessday.blogspot.com/ their both worth your time! Hope you all have a good day :)

Lazzzzzzzzzzzzzyness

Well its the day after Christmas. A lazy day for many, me included. After church this morning I have done almost nothing productive. I came home ate lunch and slept for 2.5 hours. How do I feel about being so lazy today? I love it! I would definatly take this lazy day over school work. Finals week is the week when we get back to school so im going to enjoy my boredom while I still can.
I don't know about you but I had a good Christmas. It snowed the night before so I had a somewhat of a white Christmas :) I got a new camera (cause my old one was severely messed up) and a new violin case (my old one was falling apart, literally). I good time hanging out with my family and just having a good time. From my aunt I also got the video game Michael Jackson the Experience. The night was spent playing that game and let me tell you it was FUN!!! Watching my mom and aunt play was FUNNY! I definatly suggest the game to anybody who likes Michael Jackson and or likes to dance. Well im gonna spend the rest of my lazy day watching the Rugrats movie.

God Bless :)

When Christmas Comes To Town

When Christmas Comes To Town

La, la, la, la.....

I'm wishing on a star
And trying to believe
That even though it's far
He'll find me Christmas Eve

I guess that Santa's busy
Cause he's never come around
I think of him
When Christmas Comes to Town

The best time of the year
When everyone comes home
With all this Christmas cheer
It's hard to be alone

Putting up the Christmas tree
With friends who come around
It's so much fun
When Christmas Comes to Town

Presents for the children
Wrapped in red and green
All the things I've heard about
But never really seen

No one will be sleeping on
The night of Christmas Eve
Hoping Santa's on his way

[Repeat previous two paragraphs]

When Santa's sleigh bells ring
I listen all around
The herald angels sing
I never hear a sound

When all the dreams of children
Once lost will all be found
That's all I want
When Christmas Comes to Town

That's all I want
When Christmas Comes to Town

Polar Express in English

Today went pretty good! I handed out the majority of my Christmas presents and cards and everyone seemed to like them! And the assembly went ok, our first performance was a little iffy but the second one was better. Then after school today me and my friends Madie, Marissa, and Cheryl and Drew went and watched Polar Express in the French room. The movie was for World Language club and we were supposed to be watching it in Spanish, but the teacher in charge had a staff meeting so she told us that if she wasn't back by 3:15 to start the movie. So 3:15 came around and she wasn't back so we started the movie, only problem was it was way too far ahead. So we rewinded it, only problem was when we restarted it, it was back in English. We didn't know how to change it so we just left it, after a while the teacher came back but she never metioned that the movie was in English until the very end and so we ust explainded what happend. Well only 1 more day of school for me and my school and then its Christmas break im both excited and a little sad. Im excited to get some time off school and relax but im a little sad about my friends who are leaving town to visit family. Oh well, im still excited to not have school :) Not much to say tonight, sorry.

Falling With Style

Have you ever disagreed with a friend on something? Like I love he band the Beatles but a couple of my friends don't even like them. Its all about how you look at things. What you call things, how you describe things, how you look at things. Thats what seperates an optimistic and a pesimistic. Is a the glass half empty or half full? Do you call tape, tape or a bonding strip like Buzz Lightyear? Was it flying or falling with style? Unfortuantly today a lot of people lean mor towards the glass half empty way of looking at things. The Christmas season can be the happiest time of the year or the worst time of the year. Its easy to get sucked into the stressful outlook that so many people take on, but really its all how you look at it. Some may call it Christmas shopping, why not call it Christmas cheer. For some people it's bad traffic, but why look at it as time to relax and not have to be moving around doing every last little thing. If you just try to keep a good outlook on your life you may seem to find it better than you thought. Stress or Christmas cheer? It's up to you.

Merry Christmas and God Bless

Christmas Magic

Christmas magic. Do I believe in it?.... OF COURSE! Do you? Many people don't, but I believe its how you look at it. Is it really magic? In a sense, yes but in another since no. I feel theres many types of "Christmas magic". One type is a miracle. A pure, amazing, God sent miracle. Like you find in so many Christmas movies. Another type is just the feeling of hope and cheer that seems to be floating around this time of the year. The Christmas cheer that seems to enter our hearts. Another type, probably my most favorite is the Christmas magic we create ourselves. Those little things we take the time to do that alter another persons feelings, day, maybe even life. Its those little acts of charity that can help out in big big ways. Like today I went to bell ring outside Wal-Mart with a friend. Ya know the people who wear the red apron and ring the bell next to the red money pale. Growing up I would always ask my mom for change for the bell ringer, it was just a thing we did with no real thought to it, it was a habit. It always seemed like it was that way to everyone, but standing out there today I found out the truth, that many people just pass on by without a second thought. I was out there for a little over an hour and less than half the people who walked by gave money. Now I know not everyone has the cash in these hard economic times to give but many do. The Salvation Army doesn't expect you to slip a $20 bill in the pale, its not even really expected to put as much as a dollar in, but just a few coins. A dime or two. We saw enough people today that if every person had just taken the time to put in a quarter or even just a dime we would have had a good sized amount to give to those in need. What people don't seem to see is that quarter or dime burning a hole in your pocket could be so much more. It could be Christmas magic. And charity isn't the only way to make yourself some Christmas magic, sometimes its just how you present yourself to the public around you. I always fill with cheer every time I hear someone humming Christmas songs or smile as they pass by me, and especially when I hear someone wish me a merry Christmas or a happy holidays. So I ask the question again, do you believe in Christmas magic? and to it I add another question, have you made some Christmas magic of your own?

Merry Christmas and God Bless

"Our verse"

Most couples have a song. They refer to it as "their song." Well me and my boyfriend don't have a song, but we do have a bible verse. Anytime I was or am sad about something thats happend, he will quote this verse and i'll automatically feel better. By how much we've used it, its become our "verse" in the same way couples have "their song." Our verse is Romans 8:28.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Which means that no matter what happens, God is doing it for the good of you, no matter how bad it may seem. I once heard it described like this: Say your a small puppy in a cardboard box on the street. Inside the box you feel things are bad and just plain suck and you want out of the box so badly. But God see's what you as the puppy don't see which is the giant pitbull outside the box that will tear you to pieces if you were to exit the box. So God keeps you inside the box until the pitbull is gone for good and its safe for you to exit the box. This is something that always keeps my mind at ease. I may be having the worst day of my life but I know God only means the best for me. Only God see's the big picture, each consequence of each  possible action, and what lies in store for our future. So next time your having a bad day or wonder why God would do this to you just remember Romans 8:28 and keep moving with your life. Things will get better.

Merry Christmas and God Bless

Christmas

I just really love this song so I thought I would post it :)

C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S by Jim Reeves

C is for the Christ Child born upon this day
H is for Herald Angels in the night
R means our redeemer
I means Israel
S is for the star that shone so bright
T is for three wise men they who travelled far
M is for the manger where he lay
A's for all he stands for
S means shepherds came
And that's why there's a Christmas day
T is for three wise men they who travelled far
M is for the manger where he lay
A's for all he stands for
S means shepards came
And that's why there's a Christmas day
And that's why there's a Christmas day

The Perfect Present

The perfect present. Its what we all strive for in our Christmas shopping. What is the one thing that really make that certain person say "wow". Now im not saying that it has to be big and/ or expensive. Im a firm believer in the expression "its's the thought that counts" but theres the thing: thought. Theres some people that are easy, you know exactly what to get or make them to make them happy. But then there are those people who are hard. Not that their picky but that you have absolutly no idea what to get them!!! I came across this problem this year. Someone is was the very easiest to come up with a present for last year was the very hardest this year. But today I got it. After some helpful suggestions and some internet research, I found it. The perfect present, or what I think would be perfect for this person, im so very excited to give this person their gift. I also love the fact that every friend I have will be wondering if its them that Im writing this post about. Now some know becuase they were my idea givers, but for those of you that have no clue, im not going to tell you even if its not you that im talking about haha :)
Sorrry got off topic, back to the perfect present. My one suggestion to those of you with this problem. A gift card and a homemade card always seem to bring a smile. And if thats out of your price range, remember, everyone likes food ;)

Merry Christmas and God Bless

Thank you's

Don't you just hate rude people? Its really not that hard to hold a door open for someone or say a simple thank you for a nice deed someone does for you. Rudeness has seemed to over-run our world these days. Now, not everyone is rude all the time, theres always those people that surprise you with those good deeds. When I come across those people, it just brighten's my day. They may mean nothing more than just good mannors by holding open a door or waiting patiently for something you have or are currently using but it always makes my day better. We can easily fix our everyday rudeness in our world just by taking a bit of time to say thank you to someone or to hold open a door for someone when you are in no big hurry, but is rudeness just in our physical world? God has blessed us all with so many things. A lot of times all we see from our day is those bad things like getting a bad grade, slipping on some ice, or getting caught in rush hour traffic, but what about those little things God puts into your day to make you smile? Like the guy who let you in front of him on the drive to work that morning, or the friendly stranger who complimented on your shirt that day becuase they just liked it so much. Not to mention all the other blessings. William A. Ward once said "God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say "thank you?" I think thats definatly something to keep in mind. And if you just happen to look back on the little good things to say thank you, you may just find your day wasn't so bad after all :)

Blue Skies

Have you ever had some one in your life that just thought of them makes you happy? Now I don't mean just boyfriends, girlfriends, or spouse's but anyone! It could be a friend, and family member, for parents their child. The other day I was watching White Christmas and in the parts they show of Phil and Bob's show's, they show a small clip of them singing the song Blue Skies by Irving Berlin. When you listen to the song it sounds just like a love song, but then I found out a little history behind it. Turns out the song was written for his daughter. Finding that out it, I listened to it again and realized that, the song describes how I feel for so many people. Even my best friends and family. The song says: "Blue skies smilin' at me, nothing but blue skies do I see. Blue birds singin' a song, nothin' but blue birds all day long. Never saw the sun shinin' so bright, never saw days lookin' so right. Notice that the days hurryin' by, when your in love my how they fly!" Can you think of anyone who makes you feel this way? Someone who can always make you smile and be happy? I know I can :)

For some extra Christmas spirit!

For some extra Christmas spirit, heres some Christmas jokes to share with others :)

What nationality is Santa Claus?
[North Polish.]

Who is never hungry at Christmas?
[The turkey, he is always stuffed.]
What do you call people who are afraid of Santa Claus?
[Claustrophobic.]

What's the best thing to put into a Christmas cake?
[Your teeth.]

How do sheep in Mexico say Merry Christmas?
[Fleece Navidad!]

If athletes get athletes foot, what do astronauts get?
[Missletoe!]

Why was Santa's little helper depressed?
[Because he had low elf esteem.]

What do you get when you cross a snowman with a vampire?
[Frostbite.]

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Mary.
Mary who?
Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and God bless!

SNOW!

Sorry, I couldn't post this last night, we got back from our debate tournament at 1 AM. Still, enjoy :)

This is one of my favorite songs from the movie White Christmas. Im hoping for snow here my town so I thought this would be appropriate :)

"Snow"
by Bing Crosby

Snow
It won't be long before we'll all be there with snow
Snow
I want to wash my hands, my face and hair with snow

Snow
I long to clear a path and lift a spade of snow
Snow
Oh, to see a great big man entirely made of snow

Where it's snowing
All winter through
That's where I want to be
Snowball throwing
That's what I'll do
How I'm longing to ski
Through the snow-oh-oh-oh-oh

Those glist'ning houses that seem to be built of snow
Snow
Oh, to see a mountain covered with a quilt of snow

What is Christmas with no snow
No white Christmas with no snow
Snow

I'll soon be there with snow
I'll wash my hair with snow
And with a spade of snow
I'll build a man that's made of snow
I'd love to stay up with you but I recommend a little shuteye
Go to sleep
And dream
Of snow

Merry Christmas and God Bless!

Same Old Christmas

I don't have much time again this morning, but I didn't want to leave you hanging like I did last time I had to post before a debate tournament so figured I would post lyrics to one of my favorite Christmas songs, "Same Old Christmas" by Hilary Duff. Many people think its boring to do the same thing every year at Christmas but I love it and think its something wonderful, and this song is about celebrating the traditions of the same old Christmas :)

"Same Old Christmas"(feat. Haylie Duff)

[verse one]
rows of angels in the snow
hugs and kisses by the mistletoe
sugarplum fairies everywhere, must be that time of year
stars that shine on christmas trees
smoke that curls from chimineys
rednose reindeer taking flight and choir singing
O Holy Night

[chorus]
its the same old, same old christmas eve
its the same old christmas day
its the same old, same old christmas
but I like it, I like it that way

[verse two]
Another snowman with a button nose
presents all wrapped up in bows
friends and neighbors knockin at my door
like every christmas thats come before

[chorus]
its the same old, same old christmas eve
its the same old christmas day
its the same old, same old christmas
but I like it, I like it that way

[bridge]
seasons keep on changin, the snow will melt away
but everything will be the same again, next year on christmas day
and I like it, I like it that way

[last verse]
rows of angels in the snow
hugs and kisses by the mistletoe
friends and neighbors knockin at my door
like every christmas thats come before

[chorus until music fades and ends]

Merry Christmas and God Bless!

Cottonballs, Scuba Steve, and Trixie: Now Theres a Trio!

Well yet another night of preperation for a debate tournament! Ugh. The homework is brutal this time. Since the tournament this weekend is 5 hours away we are missing school tomorrow, which is always fun, but the make up works not. Im missing Algebra II, World History, Biology, and English. Oy! Well the weekend should still be fun! I love hanging out with my friends on these tournament weekends! On the team I have my friends Emily, Brenden, MoJo, Chandler, Mayo, and my boyfriend Drew. I also have a friend named Cheryl on the squad but shes not going this weekend. But me, Drew, and Brenden have aquired new names. Drew is now to be known as Cottonballs. Brenden is now to be called Trixie. And I am now to be called Scuba Steve. If your wondering there really is no story or meaning behind any of these names, their just fun! Plus Drew hates being called Cottonballs and Brenden hates being called Trixie so thats always fun :) Ive gotten tons of my friends to call Brenden Trixie. I even got my Biology teacher to call him Trixie today after school! haha. Well it should be a good tournament! Im doing HI as usual and Im going to try prose. Plus Drew and Brenden are going to be doing a duo! Im very excited for them, their nervous but I know they'll do just fine! :) Well I better get to bed, got a long weekend ahead of me.
Just fyi 17 days until Christmas! :)
Merry Christmas! and God Bless you all!

What Do Corn, A Ballarina, And A Ginger Bread Mickey And Minnie Mouse Have In Common? Christmas

We decorated our tree! It looks so pretty! I love it! The ornaments are so cool! My favorites are corn on the cob, and glass ballarina, a red M&M, Beauty and the Beast, and a ginger bread Mickey and Minnie mouse. The ornaments are all kinda hodge podge but they all have a story :) Like the corn on the cob, my mom bought it for my dad because its his favorite vegtable. The glass ballarina was bought because I used to love dance, and I did it for nine years! the red M&M was bought at one of the huge like 3 story M&M stores. The Beauty and the Beast one, my mom bought the year we went to see the Broadway version of Beauty and the Beast. And the Mickey and Minnie mouse one was bought last time we went to Walt Disney World! I love this time of year! While decorating the tree me and my mom listened to Christmas music. First we listened to a CD called Rudolph and Friends. It has a bunch of songs from movies like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town. The second CD we listened to was a Jim Reeves Christmas CD. He's my favorite Chrsitmas singer with songs like The Memory of an Old Christmas Card, Senor Santa Claus, and the Christmas Polka.
Well Im off to church, as always I wish you a very merry Christmas and for God to bless all of you!

O Christmas Tree!!!

We got our christmas tree!!!! Yay! After my mom got off work today we headed to a grocery store parking lot where theres a Christmas tree lot set up. We always by our tree from there. We picked out a good fat one! Then we brought it home and set it up in our living room where everyone could see it. And you can also see it from the street! My mom hung lights, and ribbons, and bright red beads all around the tree, and we have plans to put ornaments on tomorrow!
Tonight I got to go to an orchetra conert. It was my city's Junior Youth symphony and Youth symphony. Both orchestas did a great job! I very much enjoyed myself! I had quite a few friends in the Junior Youth symphony as well! My boyfriend Drew, one of my very best friends Michelle, and my friend Emily. Plus Drews little brother was in the Youth Symphony. Everyone did wonderfully! My friends are so so talented!
My favorite part of the concert was at the end when they played a mash-up of the songs Have a Holly Jolly Christmas and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Very Christmasey! Well done guys!
Merry Christmas to all and God Bless :)

Count Your Blessings, Instead Of Sheep

For my post tonight, im going to post the lyrics to the song Count Your Blessings (Instead of Sheep) by Bing Crosby. I was just wastching White Christmas and I thought posting the lyrics would be good becuase its such good advice.

Cout Your Blessings (Instead of Sheep) By Bing Crosby

When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings

I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings

I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings

Merry Christmas all and God bless!

Taco chinese

I apologize about yesterday and Friday's posts, with all the debate crazyness I had going on thats all I could get. To finish my story from Fridays post. I saw this awesome set of Charlie Brown episodes! It had "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" and "Merry Christmas Charlie Brown". AWESOME! And after we bought them and I opened them up, I found they had free itunes songs you could get!!! Only problem was that after trying the codes like 3 times each I noticed they all expired April 30, 2009... Bummer :/
Well My weekend was nuts. At 8 AM Friday morning, I got on a school bus and headed for a debate tournament. It wasn't the most comfortable bus but it was a fun ride. After about 2 or 3 hours we finally got to our destination. We stopped at the mall there to eat. It was huge!!! After eating (Taco Bell yum!) Me and my friends Brenden (Also known as Mr. Grinch McScrooge man and/ or Trixie) and Cheryl and my boyfriend Drew all rode this awesome two story merry-go-round!!! Me, Drew, and Brenden rodes hoarses and Cheryl sat in a swing! I named my hoarse Flippy, Drews was Horhae (and Drew was a mexican banditio), and Brendens was Jimmy John. It was awesome!
Then we headed to our hotel to change and get ready for the tournament. Then we found out that our room (our meaning me Cheryl and 2 novice) was connected to my friend Emilys room! Awesomeness :)
Then we headed to the tournament. I performed my HI and Storytelling twice and then hung out until everyone else was done. I ended breaking (which means moving up) to semi-finals with my storytelling! I was doing the story "I Hate My Brother Harry" by Crescent Dragonwagon. Yeah Dragonwagon haha.
We got back to the hotel that night, after stopping at McDonalds, around 11. I fell asleep somewhere between 12 and 1 AM. The next morning we were up at 6:15. Oh the love of sleep deprevation! Although I did get more sleep than everyone else in my room, who went to be around 3 AM.
Well we went back to the tournament. Around 11:30 I preformed in semi-finals. I wasn't really nervous until I saw the kids who were going to be my judges. For sems of storytelling you get some kid judges. Well I performed and according to Drew I did pretty good but in the end I ended up getting 6th in the room and not advanceing but still, I did pretty good :)
Later at lunch me, Drew, and 4 other friends walked down the street to a chinese resturant. It was werid it was called Chinatown Buffet but as well as chinese food they had tacos, fried chicken, french fries, and ice cream. Plus the TV was in spanish! Weird. All in all it was a good tournament! :)
Today I got to go see White Christmas done as a play! I was so excited. It was pretty good but I was a little disappointed. Then after I went Christmas caroling with Drew and my friends Rebecca, Chavis, and Denver (Drews little brother) and the rest of our youth group! So fun! Plus I blew powered sugar in Drews face at Cici's pizza and it was funny!
Well time for bed! Merry Christmas and God Bless!

Santa Claus is Comin' to Town

Question: What is a great way to spend a Wendsday night?
Answer: Well my yesterday! :) On Wendsday nights I usually go to church. I hadn't gotten to go in two weeks though because of tests and holidayness. So I was ofcourse very excited to go! It is held at my boyfriend, Drew's house so I went over early. If you refer back to the post where I told my favorite Christmas movies you will see the movie title Santa Claus is Comin' to Town. LOOOOOVE that movie! And just by being the overky obsessed Christmas person I am, I ofcourse knew all the words to the songs in the movie. So while watching both me a Drew were singing along to the movie! Love that! In case you weren't already aware, I will inform you that (and I quote) "the best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear" (Buddy the Elf). So sing loud this Christmas for all those Mr. Grinch McScrooge men, Burger Mister Mister Burgers, and Bah humbugs out there! :) Incase your wondering church was good too. Im glad I got to go finally :)
Not much else new to report in the Christmasness of my current life, but still on the lookout for more Christmas cheer and Christmas magic. :) If you have seen any awesome Christmas cheer comment and tell about it! :)
Merry Christmas and God Bless!

Ok so with (one of) my best friends, Rebecca, as my witness! I have desided to post everyday for the month of December and count down the days until Christmas!!! im pretty stoaked for it :)      So how many of you know someone who dislikes Christmas music? I know crazy right!?!? Well I found out today that my friend Brenden dislikes Christmas music!!!! I just don't understand it... Well he has a new nickname now becuase of it. Brenden is now Mr. Grinch McScrooge man. I have decided to post on his Facebook wall everyday now until Christmas. I will post lyrics to christmas songs and a like to a video of that song on YouTube. Today's was White Christmas :) We'll see how this goes ;) If any of you have a Mr. Grinch McScrooge man (or woman) in your life, feel free to use my idea :)
So only 25 days until Christmas!!! EXCITED!!! I can now offically use my advent calenders! I have 2 :) I have one on the door of our house. A reindeer is holding it! My other one is just pieces of paper with the dates on the like 25, 24, 23, 22, and so on and then says at the bottom "day's til' christmas."
I now offically LOVE my history teacher! We had a test today (blah) and he played Christmas music ehile we were taking it!!! YAY!!!! You rock mr. Tate! haha
Well thats about it for today :) Merry Christmas and God Bless!!! :)
